Auf der CES konnten wir den Canon LEGRIA HF M52 vorab schon mal in der Hand halten und erste Eindrücke sammeln. Der Camcorder hat einige neue Funktionen bekommen. Darunter WLAN, Audio-Szenenwahl und MP4-Videoaufnahmen. Mit der Audio-Szenenwahl können bessere Tonaufnahmen gemacht werden, und die MP4-Aufnahmen können über die drahtlose WLAN-Verbindung direkt auf YouTube oder Facebook geladen werden. Einiges wurde verbessert und auf Vordermann gebracht: Der Sensor des Canon LEGRIA HF M52 z.B. ist etwas besser als der des Vorjahresmodells. Ebenfalls verbessert wurde der Story-Creator, der jetzt anscheinend genauere und bessere Tipps bietet. Außerdem hat der HF M52 Canons neuen, intelligenten optischen Bildstabilisator (Intelligent IS), den der Camcorder automatisch auf eine von vier Optionen einstellen kann. Außerdem wurde auch der Story-Creator überarbeitet, und der Camcorder kann Backups direkt auf eine externe Festplatte speichern. _Da wir diese ersten Eindrücke und Informationen auf der CES erhalten haben, hatten wir nur ein NTSC-Modell in der Hand, keinen PAL Camcorder._
